All Church:

    Our regular Wednesday night activities and Wednesday night meals restart on Wednesday, September 3. Plan on finding your place on Wednesday evenings in a discipleship class or any of our children’s and student activities each week.

    First Baptist Weekday Preschool is continuing to enroll children, twelve months through Kindergarten, for the fall. To learn more about the school, please call (972) 512-3895 or email the school at weekdaypreschool@fbcc.org.

    Vista Academy of Carrollton is now enrolling for Kindergarten through 5th grade. There are no tuition costs. For more information, please contact Vista Academy at (972) 242-5864 or visit their website at www.vista-academies.com.

    Pray for our Nation is a new group that will be meeting to pray for our very important elections ahead. This group is open to anyone who would like to be a part of this special time of prayer on the first Thursday morning of each month from 10-11:30 am in Room 107.

Missions:

    English as a Second Language has openings for teachers and helpers on Wednesday nights starting September 3. No teaching degree is required and you will be trained to teach conversational English. Please attend an informational meeting this Wednesday, August 27, in House C at 6 pm if you are interested in serving in this ministry.     American Friendship Partner is a program that partners local churches and the International Students Incorporation (ISI). International students from DBU are connected with an American friend that includes them in their everyday events such as family dinners, church, sports, or other activities. If you wish to make a difference in the life of an international student, please join us Sunday, August 24, in Room 105 from 5-5:45 pm. Bible Fellowship:

    An important step in becoming involved at First Baptist Carrollton is our “Discover” Class for new members. This class provides you with a basic introduction to our church family. Since we have members from many church backgrounds, this class is designed to clearly explain who we are and what we believe as a church. This four-week class will begin September 7 during the 11 am Bible Fellowship hour in Room 108. To attend this class, please contact the Adult Discipleship Office at (972) 512-3840 or email.

Worship Ministry

    Worship Choir and Orchestra Rehearsals are now in session, Wednesdays at 6:30 pm. Our Singing Christmas Tree Kick-off will be Wednesday, September 10. Women's Ministry:

    The Women’s Ministry First Thursday will be September 4 from 10:30 am-12:30 pm in the Parlor. We will have a light lunch and forum consisting of four ladies from our church. The discussion topic will be how we can minister better to the women of our church. This will be the kickoff event for the start of a new church year. Cost is $6 per person. Purchase tickets in the Fellowship Mall by August 31. Child-care will be provided with advance reservations by August 24. For additional information, please contact DeAnna Durham at (972) 242-4666.

    SAVE THE DATE for the annual Women’s Ministry Ladies’ Retreat that will be the weekend of October 17-18 at Falls Creek Baptist Conference Center in Davis, OK. Continue to watch for more details.

Forerunner Ministry:

    The Forerunners (55+) will take a morning trip on Friday, September 19, to tour Texas Stadium. Cost will be $7 per person to tour the facilities, plus $2 for bus. Call the Forerunner Office at (972) 512-3815 to reserve a bus seat and to get information.

Children's Ministry:

    The next King’s Kids class will begin Sunday, September 7. King’s Kids is a five-week class offered during the 9:30 hour for young Christians who have made a profession of faith. Register by calling the Children’s Ministry Office at (972) 512-3850. Registration deadline is Wednesday, September 3.

    Volunteers are needed to serve in Bible Fellowship and other programs for children on Sundays and Wednesdays. For more information or to volunteer, call the Children’s Ministry Office at (972) 512-3850.
